CONNECTING MERCY WITH COMMUNITY

Since its inception, more than 17,000 volunteers from churches and communities across the country have made it possible for more than 1,700 families to move back into their homes.

We are committed to spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ by connecting mercy with community through rebuilding homes, encouraging the brokenhearted and despaired, and training volunteer workers for the mission fields on the Mississippi Gulf Coast and in their hometowns.

Our Mission

Home Reconstruction In response to the great need to repair houses damaged by Hurricane Katrina and through the efforts of dedicated staff members and volunteers from across the country, Camp Biloxi is able to repair the houses of many who otherwise would not have the financial resources to rebuild. So far, Camp Biloxi has made it possible for more than 1700 families to move back into their homes.

Case Management Camp Biloxi’s Case Management program connects individuals and families affected by Katrina with caseworkers who assess victims’ needs and help them create a recovery plan. Caseworkers help to secure resources for families in need through networking with community partners and volunteer groups.

Distribution Center In the immediate aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, the Distribution Center was created to help Katrina victims with immediate needs. The need for this Distribution Center remains strong today, but is in crucial need of funding. Camp Biloxi’s Distribution Center needs your help to offer basic necessities (food, clothing, personal hygiene items, etc.) to those struggling to provide for these day-to-day needs.  Temporarily closed due to lack of funding.

Extra Mile Ministries Extra Mile Ministries works with Camp Biloxi to offer spiritual and emotional care to hurricane victims. Using a unique faith based approach involving trained Mercy givers and K-9 support dogs, Extra Mile Ministries brings hope and mercy to disaster victims and crisis responders.

Camp Biloxi is dedicated to spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ through building houses, encouraging the brokenhearted and despaired, and training volunteer workers for the mission fields on the Mississippi Gulf Coast recently hit by Hurricane Katrina.
